Buyers beware!! Doesn't fit standard wine bottles

I was so excited to get this wine rack. It is a pretty item, but it is not practical. I attempted to put a regular bottle of wine on it, but it wouldn't fit the bottle. Maybe it'll fit a bottle of sparkling wine or a longer thin bottle of Gew�rztraminer, but other than that, it is a waste of money & a waste of time returning it to the store! Do not buy!!
