I received the Hot Wheels Hill Climb Champion track set as part of the Play, Rate & Review program for free in exchange for my review. This isn't much of a track or playset per se, as much as it is a fun mini game! The set is basically a big ramp that has a manual launcher at the bottom that your child will use to launch cars up the ramp to see who can make it the farthest or if they can get to the top. It comes with stickers that you place one each part of the ramp to represent points, so in the end, its more or less a game to rack up as many points as possible, but if a car does make it to the top, it triggers the very top to fall and become a platform. Ultimately, my kids enjoyed it a lot for just this purpose of picking a few cars each and seeing who could get the most points with their group, or how many they could get to the top. It seems to be very durable and has strong support pieces to hold it upright. It also has a small storage space on the last support pillar that allows you to place a few cars on it. There isnt a spot on either end to attach any sort of additional track to, so it is more or less just a stand-alone item, but it still is a lot of enjoyment for kids!

Hours of fun
This was fun for all 3 kids age 3, 5, and 8. Simple directions and the 3 of them played hours trying to get to the top. A little more difficult for the three year old to get enough pressure but she got there a couple times. Again they loved trying different vehicles and selecting some to go in the skots underneath. Highly recommend for all sorts of ages as I also enjoyed trying.

Great fun for my 7 year kid
My son loves this set and has been playing with it since it arrived. Deciding which Hot Wheels will be best to make the climb and rest on top has been really fun to watch. There is some challenge with seeing which vehicles will work best and “win”.

Cool track
This track is simple but all three of my children have enjoyed playing with it, even my 8-year old daughter. The goal is to earn points by seeing how far you can launch your car up the track. If your car makes it to the top, it reaches the winners platform. The “wall” holding up the top of the track also doubles as a little parking garage for extra cars. Overall lots of entertainment.

Great fun!
Both of my kids, 3 year old boy and 7 year old girl enjoy playing with this toy. It’s fun to try and get the car to the top. It seems well built and not cheap plastic at all. Can be used with all kinds of hot wheels not just the one it came with. Great product!

Great for play!
My boys loved this toy - the experimentation with speed and physics, the crashing, the testing of all their cars to see which was the best and what didn't work; they spent hours with this. It hasn't upheld their interest, but I think they will return to it in time. It is a great value for the price.

Super fun concept
My almost 6 year old was really excited about it at first. He loved hitting the launcher tonsee if he could get the car to the top. After about an hour or so he was over it and l doesn't often reach for it anymore.

King of the Mountain!!
My 8 year old son loves collecting Hot Wheels vehicles but has only a few play sets in which he can use them. He likes competitions -- the winning part more so than the losing – so I thought the Hill Climb Champion set could be a hit with him. And it was. I had to help him getting the pieces out of the box, but then he took over. With minimal direction and assistance from me, he was able to get the set assembled quickly. I only needed to apply the final pressure at the connection points to hear that satisfying click. It has stickers to add extra flair, but apparently my son saw the designated recessed areas for them merely as suggestions. Important note: once a sticker is stuck, it cannot be unstuck. Using the toy was relatively simple. Slamming down on a lever sends the car up the hill. There are three designated scoring areas in which the car can end up. The higher up the hill the car stops, the more points are scored. If the car makes it to the top, a platform pivots to catch the car. My son appreciates how easy it is to launch the car but finds it too easy to make the car reach the top platform. Personally, I saw cars often flying off the track but I think he was doing that intentionally as he likes crashes. He also likes having vehicle storage available in the hill riser to keep his favorite cars at the ready. To up the challenge, we pick a target point area for each trial instead of always shooting for the top. We also play by setting a target point total with the first person to reach that total declared the winner. Varying the goal really seems to keep him interested. (And if it happens to exercise some math skills, all the better.) All in all, this is a solid play set that gets vehicles out of storage and into action. By making your own rules for winning, there is enough variety to keep kids coming back time and time again.
