Threads are fraying

This is a very pretty pillow and goes well with both silver and lake blue colored comforters. However - I have had these pillows for only 2 days (and we never put our heads on these - they just are displayed on the bed). The decorative metallic threads are fraying and sticking out and coming loose. I will go to my local Macy's store to see what other options they have. These are too expensive to fall apart with very minimal handling! Hard to take pictures, but each day another few threads will fray.
