Beautiful!

Just what I was looking for. Simple design for everyday and entertaining. I'm no longer interested in heavy stoneware, so I appreciate this set of lightweight china. The set stacks compactly in my cupboard. While the bowls do take up more space in the dishwasher, it is not a problem for us.

Pretty but with practical drawbacks to consider

Very pretty dinnerware, but impractical in ways that might affect someone’s decision to purchase. I could only fit 2 of the 8-3/4-inch wide bowls (including 1-inch rim) in my Bosch dishwasher, and they didn’t stay upright during washing. Rather than have them crash into each other, I replaced my countertop dish-drying rack with a bamboo one that holds them securely. In addition, the sloped sides of the bowls had me chasing Cheerios in circles. Same for any other bits of food. And, although these dishes *hold up* to microwaving, that doesn’t mean they are practical for it. Baked-on food is difficult to remove. This may be the case with all bone china; I don’t know, as this is the only set I’ve owned. The needed elbow grease prompted me to “nuke” food in other containers and transfer it to dinnerware. I am content with my purchase because the dishes are quite lovely, but had I realized the impracticality of the bowl design, I likely would have selected a different one.

Good quality!

First class! I can use these white dishes for every holiday! I just simply change out the salad plates.

Not the same design as 5 years ago.

They don't match the same set I bought 5 years ago. Very disappointing. They're thicker and chunky, not elegant like before. Returned.

Flat profile that stacks well in limited space

I looked at many patterns before deciding on the Hotel Rim bone china. We have Mikasa at our other home and really like that as well but the Hotel Rim China has a classy yet casual look. It has a rather flat profile so stacks well in my small cupboards. The finish is a perfect near white.

Hotel Collection - beautiful but gone!

Love the set when I purchased many years ago...and of course, now discontinued. There were a couple of 'sample' pieces left, but one salesperson would not direct me to manager or any other alternative. What were they possibly going to do with a couple of 'sample' pieces in their inventory????? I (and friends) still like the collection, but cannot replace any pieces.
