Unbearable, painful shoe

I wore these to work one day and by mid day, I had to secretly walk around the office barefoot. I don't spend my day walking a lot, but these caused residual pain and marks on my feet for 2 days.The material is very stiff, not soft at all, so back part of the strap (closest to the ankle) would dig into the top of my feet whenever I took a step. I have average to narrow feet, so it's not the fit. It's too bad because it's a pretty shoe.
