Stick to the movie

I'm just going to be honest. The book was boring. So much so, that I couldn't even force myself to finish it. Normally, books tend to end their chapters with something, anything, to keep the reader wanting to continue and not put the book down. This was not that. I made it halfway through chapter eleven and gave up. Honestly, just stick to the Ghibli film.

Whimsical and charming

“‘I think we ought to live happily ever after,’ and she thought he meant it.” Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynn Jones is a charming middle school read about a quirky wizard, a curse, and a girl who finds where she belongs in most unlikely of ways. This story was a delight to read, and will give you all the whimsical warm and fuzzy feels. I give it 4 stars.
