HP Pro SFF 400 G9 Desktop PC Review

The best thing I like about this PC is the improvement in the speed of the performance of the whole range of actions requested, so far. Given that this is a compact PC, it would nevertheless be a lot easier to work with it if the spacing of the USB drive openings were a little further apart and especially if the labels or wording on the PC were larger and more easily readable.

New office computer after 20 years.

Took a bit of time getting used to new buttons, etc. with W11. Graphics and speed are great. The DVD is not the same quality as my old computer, but I will be careful. Had to purchase a spliter for two displays, as only one hdmi connection. Very quiet and compact.

Great small PC

Replaced an old PC with this one, Chose HP on past experience, found it a bit tricky to add another SSD drive inside since the screw holes for mounting are bigger than standard so had to use some washers... there is no optical drive (I know I'm a dinosaur) and you need special bezel parts to add one yourself and there isn't provision for powering it because I had to use the power cable for the additional SSD drive, whilst I am happy overall with the PC I do feel HP could look at the way other suppliers make it easy to add drives to their machines. I needed the sff case due to space requirements plus I needed to add a PCIe video card in addition to the onboard one which steals a lot of RAM.... ov pleased with my purchase though..

Good replacement

Bought this to replace our existing HP workstation that had a failing SD drive after five years of faultless use. Found the new one easy to set up and had no difficulty connecting to 365 account

Not so functional to work in physically

Nice compact size which is a little awkward to work on internally but no more difficult than a tower. The flip out framework to install a HDD is a novel feature but loses points because the CD Drive has to be unplugged, removed and the front face removed before the frame can be opened. Computer doesn't have a spare internal slot for an additional SSD. Starts up and shuts down in 6 seconds.
