Uncomfortably lumpy on the inside

I found the inside texture of these socks to be rough and lumpy. I prefer a smoother feel to the inside of my socks to I'm returning these.

Band not as pictured

The socks I received are not like those shown in the picture. They used to be. Now the band is not soft, it is rigid and thin, more binding. Unfortunately I did not realize this before washing them.
