Why

Why do i have to give a review just to register my bike, just to receive warranty help?

Gear shift too tight

Good price sturdy bike but same issue as everyone else - easy to gear up 1->5, very difficult to go back 5->1. Too difficult for a 7 year old - makes the gears pointless

Good price but........

Although, the price of the bike is great value for money. This bike does come with a few challenges. First, the instructions that comes with the bike to tune the gears and brakes are poorly explained. There should be a quick simple guide on how to tune them. Luckily I found several videos on you tube, that are easy to follow. The biggest flaw for the bike is gear changing. The grip gear shifter, is a POOR CHOICE for kids. They do not have the strength to change the gears going back down (i.e 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1). The cable is way too stiff for them. My son, sometimes looses balance of the bike, just trying change the gear back down, especially near impossible from 2 to 1. This can be dangerous, during high speeds. My advice for Huffy, is to replace the grip gear changer to a shift lever style. Otherwise, I would give this bike a much higher rating.
