Throughly enjoyed!

Good book, the twist was good. It did drag on a little in the middle but if you stick with it, the ending is worth it!

Riveting! Spooky and a great twist!

I finished this book in about 4 days, that's how much I was sucked into it! The characters were created well and all of them maintained my interest. The scenes and settings were perfectly described. It was exciting and scary enough, but nothing over done. I loved the ending, did not see it coming at all. This was a wonderful read and I was entirely satisfied.

Darcy Does it Again

"Hunted" by Darcy Coates was an absolutely gripping read! I loved how it seamlessly combined thriller and crime elements, making for a truly intense and riveting story. Darcy has this amazing way of writing that really pulls you in and makes you feel connected to the characters. I found myself deeply invested in their crazy journeys and emotions throughout the book. The suspense and tension kept me hooked, and I couldn’t put it down. “Just one more chapter” turned into 280 pages today to finish the book. I also love the way the book is written using multiple point of view narration. It really allows for that more comprehensive view of the story. If you enjoy thrillers with a strong emotional core, "Hunted" is definitely a must-read!

Scary good

This was a great first read from this author and I really enjoyed it. It follows around 4 friends through the woods as they try to find Chris' sister Eileen after the police do not take them seriously and refuse to help. It doesn't help that they think there is a monster in the woods, silly kids just pulling a stupid prank, right? Wrong. This entire book kept me intrigued. You would think they were going to survive or to be unharmed, but they kept making stupid mistakes in the typical horror novel fashion. It reminded me of the Geico commercial where the kids don't get in the getaway car to get away from the serial killer, but if they didn't make stupid mistakes, there wouldn't be a great story line. I was kind of disappointed for how the book ended, but I will not ruin it for anyone. It's one of those that has closure, but it lacks a sense of finality. It was rather easy to put the pieces together as to who done it; I figured it out long before it got to that part of the book, so it was a little predictable for my taste, but overall, a great book and a fast enjoyable read. Thank you NetGalley for another great free sample.

Good read

I really liked this book...right up to the last 25 or so pages. I simply need more insight into Carla's epiphany of who or what was behind the killings. It was just too slick...too Scooby-Doo for my taste. I was more than a little disappointed in the ending.
