Fell Apart AND Beware Return Policy

I was excited to buy this blouse because it fit well and looked great when I tried it on. However, after following the manufacturer’s recommended washing instructions before wearing it, the shoulder seam completely ripped apart, leaving a large hole. When I tried to return it, Macy’s staff told me they could not accept it since I had washed it, even though it was clearly defective after one wash. After repeated explanations, the manager finally refunded me, but only after making it sound like they were doing me a huge favor. The quality of this blouse is poor, and Macy’s return policy makes it very difficult to return an item that turns out to be defective after normal care. I expected better from Macy’s.
