A Book Readers Diagnostic

Ok. Icebreaker has a little girl title and non existent content warnings. If it was portrayed for what it was vs what kids see it would have a better wrap. I honestly didn’t have a problem with the plot. I saw character growth, fun relationships as well as teaching the difference between healthy behaviors and toxic behaviors. That said, I agree with the complaints about the poor writing and bad character descriptions. She could have been on a time crunch but the first thing you should do when writing is getting to know your characters mentally AND physically. If you throw in a more mature cover as well as content warnings on the first page (ie. Sexual content, violence, inappropriate language, and toxic behavior) then ten year old girls and younger wont know what a G-spot is too young and parents wont be buying it for them. If you love smut (like most of us do) then this book is for you but if you like smut AS WELL AS good writing take your time and money somewhere else. -The doc has diagnosed

Loved it

Although it's a good book, I do not recommend letting your children read this book. Overall, I do recommend reading it. Again, if you can't handle the contents, I recommend watching a movie called Cutting Edge, dame plot, less spicy.

Good book.

This was the first “spicy” book I’d ever read, and was pretty good to start out. Cute ending, and actually has a plot besides all the spice.

Great Smut Book

I just finished reading this it was a decent read. It is an enemies to lover style book definitely for 18+ adult content in some chapters. I do like that they switched POV but I did notice some lack of the plot but overall it was a good read and I know why its trendy on TikTok!

Feel Good Sports Romance

Icebreaker is a feel good contemporary romance between Ice Skater, Anastacia, and Nate, the captain of the hockey team. Nate and Anastacia (Stassie) start off on “thin ice” when they are forced to share the same ice rink when the hockey rink is damaged. Stassie is reluctant of relationships while pursuing her dream of making it to the Olympics with her figure skating partner. Nate pursues a friendship to foster positive interactions at the rink and subsequently supports Stassie as she navigates a manipulative skating partner, unhealthy diet choices, and finding work/life balance. Hannah Grace touches on anxiety, perfectionism, body image, and other mental health challenges high level athletes face with an approach that includes positive coping strategies, counseling, and disengaging from manipulative or toxic relationships. It was very well done, IMO. This book is full if suspense, a push/pull dynamic between the mmc and fmc, secret revelations, and heart stopping moments. It was such a feel good romance and ticked all the check marks for a cute read. Tropes: Forced proximity Frenemy to lover Golden Retriever MMC Sports romance Open door spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
