My style but poor fit

Loved the material and pattern. Lovely but I returned it because it stuck out where the sleeve ended instead of ending right at the end of my shoulder. So it looked peculiar. I even tried a smaller size in the store when I returned this one, but it still had the odd flap hanging off my shoulder. I have many vests I wear and have never had an issue like this.
