These are the softest leggings I have ever bought. I love them. I am 5'8 and weigh 173 and bought the size L. I could have bought a M probably as the L are not super tight, but I think after having been washed and machine dried, they will be a bit snugger. They are not loose fitting, just not as tight as others I own. They hit about 3-4 inches above my ankle which is perfect for me.
