Loved this!

My favorite genre of books is horror, so when I saw this book I knew I had to get it. It was difficult to put this book down and I admit I was a bit addicted to it. Personally, I didn't see the twist coming and was caught off guard, in a good way. There are a few dark topics in this book, so I definitely recommend caution before reading. But if you can handle it, I recommend reading it.

PAGE TURNER

Such a famous author, so I had to pick it up, especially after reading the description. The book is long so buckle up, but if you are dedicated you can get through it pretty fast. I couldn't put it down. I spent all my free time for about 2 weeks to read this book. It is a good vs evil book, it doesn't show truly till towards the end though. I know that may be a let down to some, the ending was good but the explanation for everything that was going on was a bit lack luster even for me. But I would still recommend this book, it was such a fun read, had my heart racing at some parts.

ugh

i was so disappointed with this. i love stephen chbosky and was so excited to get my hands on this book. the beginning of the book is good, it definitely captures your attention and had me wanting more. the ending is where it lost me. i was hoping for actual horror elements or something new and unique but it was just a basic good vs evil, god vs devil thing and i thought it was corny. i was upset i wasted so much time reading it.

Amazing book!!!

I really annoyed the book, I would totally read it again. Some of the book was triggering for me but still very good. The first real horror book that I have read and the first big book that I have read on my own for a while. Gave it to a friend of mine and I know that they will like it because they are into the horror and it a fan of Steven King book. 10/10

Unique and strange mystery!

Seven-year-old Christopher is on the run with his mom. Her boyfriend Jerry was mean one too many times. They reach a new town and she finds a job cleaning at a nursing home. Christopher struggles with school until he reappears after missing in the woods for six days. He can’t remember anything about that time. Everything seems to get better for Christopher and his mom, Kate. Then Christopher sneaks out with his friends to build a treehouse in the forbidden woods. He gets sick and doesn’t sleep because of the nightmares he keeps having. His mother sees him falling apart and before she can fix anything their lives and whole world turn upside down. This story has an eerie, spooky feel. It’s part supernatural and part mystery with a Stephen King, albeit mellow, feel. Unique and strange, 4 stars!

Typical good VS evil book

Way too long for what it is. This is the typical good versus evil book. Standard stuff with way too many words used to write it.It started out OK, but fell apart, in my opinion. I ended up skipping about half the book to read the end and then archived it.

Meh..

There are definitely some great horror elements in the book and it’s a genuine page-turner, but it just goes on for too long and for seemingly no reason at all. As it drags on it starts to lose all the charm and tension it had built up. It’s really not a bad story but it did leave me a little unsatisfied.

Thrilling and mysterious the whole way through!

If I'm being honest, I had trouble picking this one up and reading. I couldn't seem to find the time. Then one night when I couldn't procrastinate any further, I finished the whole thing in one sitting. It was amazing. The descriptions, imagery, and moving plot had me in a state of such awe. I bawled my eyes out halfway through and didn't stop until the last page. There is something very special in Chbosky's writing. I loved Perks of Being a Wallflower but this is more fitting for those who enjoy Dean Koontz or Stephen King. I can't forget the plot twist that had me reeling!
