Trusted product ruined by new formula awful scent
OMG I'm so sad I've used this product for years and about 4-6 months ago i went to reorder as I'd used up my supply and at the time it said out of stock which I thought was odd but months went by still out of stock. Finally post Thanksgiving I see its back in stock and now I finally order some, It arrives and then yesterday morning I was so excited to use it HOWEVER when I apply it I notice an odd smell I've never noticed before and it lingered ALL DAY the SMELL IS HORRIFIC. I'm devastated, I thought it was interacting with a post shave balm I use. So this morning I try again but I apply just this product and the smell is still there!!! It smells just so unpleasant and lingers on my hands too - I will be cancelling my subscription on this product and beginning the search for something else unless you go back to your original formula.

Putrid smell
The smell is horrible, I thought something was wrong with the product but after reading multiple reviews I can see many people experiencing the same issue i’ve used these products for years I don’t understand how they can sell something that smells so putrid.

New formula has aweful smell
I have been using this daily for years now. After my last order came in I noticed it had a different smell. It wasn't particularly strong, but man did it linger all day and isn't a great scent. I can't tell if it was deliberate, but it definitely doesn't seem like a smell you would want to add to your product on purpose. I managed to dig an old bottle out of the trash and they did indeed change the formula although it is hard to tell which change is causing the problem. As of now it is unusable for my and I will be returning the remaining bottles until it is sorted.

Change in formula
I've been a loyal user of Jack Black products for years and have consistently been thrilled with their quality. It's for this reason that I'm particularly disappointed with the new formula for this item, which is, regrettably, my first negative experience. The most significant issue is the strong, unpleasant scent that, as many other users have also pointed out, simply doesn't fade. I truly hope Jack Black will value the feedback of its devoted customers and review this product's formula. We clearly love your brand, but this particular scent is genuinely unbearable.

New Formula, Horrible All Day Smell
This was my favorite face moisturizer UNTIL the formula changed. After the first use, I noticed a strong lingering scent that wasn’t present in past purchases. The smell/odor now lasts throughout the entire day and evening on my face and hands, which unfortunately makes the experience of using the product unpleasant. I understand formulas change from time to time due to increased production costs or changing regulations, but at least ensure the quality is the same. The fact that this new formula was accepted as a sellable product despite its unpleasant smell is concerning. I should have noticed several other reviews complaining about the new formula and smell.

Leaves no residue
If you’re in the market for a moisturize that leaves no reside and doesn’t clog your pores, this is it. My skin tends to break out with many other products but not this one. My only complaint is that the bottle seems so big and they’ve used so much plastic. Seems like a senseless amount of plastic to toss after 1 use. I’ll look for something else next time unless JB changes to a more minimal bottle.

Love the new formula
The formula has changed slightly and it is much lighter and easier to apply. My skin has never looked better!
