Finally a pair of headphones my son loves!

As a parent of a 6-year-old with autism, finding sensory-friendly products is a constant challenge. Headphones have been a particularly frustrating area. We've tried countless pairs, all promising comfort and durability, but none have delivered. My son would complain of pressure, discomfort, or simply refuse to wear them after a few minutes. That is, until we found the JBL Jr320 headphones. These headphones have been a game-changer for our family. For the first time, my son happily wears headphones for extended periods. The cushioned ear cups and lightweight design are clearly superior to anything we've tried before. He hasn't complained about discomfort once, which is a massive win in our book! It's clear that JBL has put thought into designing these for smaller heads. Another huge plus is the tangle-free fabric cord. Anyone with a young child knows the frustration of constantly untangling headphone wires. This cord is incredibly durable and resists tangling, making it easy for my son to manage them independently. Beyond the comfort and practicality, the sound quality is excellent for a child's headphone. The volume is limited to a safe level, which is crucial for protecting young ears. My son enjoys listening to his favorite audiobooks and music without any distortion or issues. For parents of children with sensory sensitivities, especially those with autism, finding products that work can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. The JBL Jr320 headphones have truly exceeded our expectations. They're comfortable, durable, and provide great sound quality. If you're looking for a reliable and comfortable pair of headphones for your child, I highly recommend giving the JBL Jr320s a try. They've made a world of difference for us, and I'm confident they can do the same for you. As a parent of a 6-year-old with autism, finding sensory-friendly products is a constant challenge. Perfect personal head phones for my son!

Was looking for a non-Bluetooth headphones for our 6 year son. These fit the bill perfectly. My son uses these while on his tablet and is also able to plug it into his xbox controller. My favorite feature is that the volume is limited and can only go up to 85 dB which is safe for his hearing. They are able to fold up nicely for easy travel. They also come equipped with a microphone which I have used personally while video conferencing. Would highly recommend and they and also come in purple/pink.

Great smaller over hear headphones for kids

Solid sound quality in a smaller package for smaller heads, great for kids, older kids not the right size for them. Very durable, easy to use, kids like to use them with the roku remote to watch tv without bothering the rest of us.

Great sounding and looking. Called Junior 320 JBL.

These Junior 320 JBL headphones have great sound actually. They are <85dB. I’m actually surprised at how well they sound. I would highly recommend these headphones. We have used them from gaming to music and they sound great.

dB limited plug in headset that may be good enough

The JBL Junior 320 headphones are on ear, plug-in only headphones designed for kids 3+. I would say max age is probalby 10, as my daughter is a tiny 10 year old, and these just fit at the largest setting. They are wired only, with a built in microphone and a dual input/output 3.5mm plug. The microphone is built into the little start/stop single button control. They feature a max volume limiter to prevent any hearing damage. Sound: 7 of 10 Now I realize most kids aren't audiophiles (yet!), but they do appreciate better sound. A listener of any age can appreciate clarity and a full range. My daughter said they sounded "really good". When I listened.. well they sounded muffled to me. My daughter gave them 9 out of 10, I give them 5, so we'll meet at 7. Asthetics: 9 of 10 Right out of the box, my daughter noted the style: "oh they look nice". The blue on blue and pink on pink color ways work, though I wish they had other options. Free stickers to customize them never hurts! They feel well-built, although I would maybe want thicker materials for kids durability on kids headphones. The flat cord and the little button control are simple and clean. Durability: 5 of 10 I'm making a prediction, as I haven't had these nearly long enough for any real-world durability results. On the bright side, the ear cushion and cover slipped off, which at first I thought ruined the headphones, but I quickly realized could be re-installed (takes patience and a few minutes but is easy enough once you do it once). This is great as you could wash the "adventure" (read: kid grime) off of them as needed. Overall though, the materials just feel... breakable. So much so, that I really shied away from flexing or testing them. The aforementioned cushion cover feels like thin and tear-able, and the cord, while nice and flexible and non-kinking, also is very thin. In fact, with so many devices using bluetooth now (sometimes ONLY), having NO cable to break, seems like the way to go for kid headphones. I'll update this review if possible, or post a new one, once we've used these for a while to really test their longevity. Comfort: 5 of 10 The earcups are comfortable enough at first, but after a while, they began to hurt. Maybe this wouldn't be an issue with a smaller child, or after some break-in of the headphones. The cushion at the top is a nice touch, but the overall comfort has to be rated, and that could be improved. Controls/Software: 10 of 10 These headphones are beautiful in their simplicity. Old school, headphone/mic plug, one control: start/stop. No software. The only other thing to mention is the built in 85 decibel limiter. Easy for kids to use, and no chance of them lowering or raising the volume accidentally. And IF they do so on the device, the limiter keeps their ears safe. Overall: 6.5 of 10 If you like on-ear style headphones, and you want/need them to plug in, you may want to try these for your little one. I am unsure about the durability, and for an older (read: bigger) child, after a long while they do get uncomfortable. They are nice looking, ultra simple to use, with decent sound. I would recommend you have the kiddo try them on first though.
