Not the company it used to be

I wish I could review this item. I found it at Macy's online and thought it would be a nice addition to a gift I was purchasing. This was after I visited the local Macy's and found a messy, understocked and understaffed store. Hence, the online purchases. After delays in delivery, when my package from Macy's finally arrived, it contained the wrong item. Completely wrong item- wrong top, wrong size, wrong color. After a painfully long telephone call to arrange (hopefully) an exchange for the correct item, I finally was told my choice was out of stock. The call was prolonged because after a wait to even speak with a person, that individual proved to have limited experience with English. She kept saying she couldn't see the item I wanted to return on my order; I kept explaining I was returning it because I was sent the wrong item. Wrong, not correct, different from what I ordered, mistake, etc. When she finally grasped the problem, she arranged a refund but said nothing about actually returning the item. My conclusion: I won't bother shopping at Macy's.
