Very classy pair of pants!

3 Season pants. The material used for these pants is different from prior seasons JM Collection Pull-On Wide-Leg Pants. This material is a bit heavier in weight and the texture is different. Prior season had more of a softer poly knit feel to them. These pants feel more sturdy in construction, but not as sturdy as a pair of older lady Alfred Dunner poly pants. These pants also lay a little bit closer to the hip before they turn into a wide leg. If you wear "Curvy" style slacks, I would recommend going up a size. If you are "regular" fit, then order your regular size. They are a great pant and I will keep them. I think a lot of women are looking for a pair of pants that look nice without all the distractions of belt loops, front pockets that bulge, useless welt pockets in the back etc. They do not look like "uniform" pants. The color "intrepid blue" is not a traditional deep dark navy. The color is a bit lighter, but not brighter.

Material Issue:The Stretch IS Gone!

I've been ordering this style of Macy's JM Collection pants for years. While they wore well and kept their color for the most part, I still ordered more each year for fear Macy's would drop the line or change the pants. Thank goodness I've hedged my bets on this one because this pant is so different because of the substitution of material. They've changed from a lightweight stretchable polyester material to a much much heavier polyester with a whole lot less stretch. I typically wear a large and sometimes an extra large, (after the holidays) in the previous JM Collection pants but not in these. The material just doesn't have enough give to make it over my tush. My sister ordered the extra large and she had the same difficulty. Now I can see why a heavy material like this would be a winner for people in colder climates because they could substitute for ski pants, they're just not for me. I am so disappointed and sad because I wanted to order a lot more of the previous style.
