Nice surprise form JV
This is my first experience with a John Varvatos fragrance. I find that XX Elixir is warm, smooth, and smells super luxurious. The mix of spice, leather, and tonka makes it perfect for cooler weather and has been in my rotation this fall. The sillage is decent, but I do think you need to reapply if you want it to last all day. The bottle is nice looking and adds a cool look to any collection.

Decent value for the money.
Packaging was decent for a designer fragrance, great value for the money. Opens very heavy with a soft dry down. This is a very much tropical blue fragrance. Tropical minus coconut which is unique. It seems to last a lot longer than other jon varvatos fragrances which is great. All in all it is a fair value. Its not revolutionary but it is a good everyday scent.

Not for me, but for someone!
This isn’t bad. A little strong for me, but it is VERY concentrated and does last all day with only one application. It wears very well, and this is one of many from my collection.

It Doesn't Stay Very Long.
I am very disappointed. This cologne doesn't stay very long. It goes away after about 3 minutes of wearing it. It's too expensive for what it lasts on.
