Great Comfort Plus Work Shoes

I just bought these shoes for my job, Real Estate agent, because they are comfortable, more formal than sneakers, and the lasting wearability of J&M. I have the navy blue version of this shoe and another black shoes which does not lace up, but simply slip on. I also bought a really cool pair of multi-colored earth tone wing tips with a comfort driven sole. I bought them on Monday and have worn them with no socks, I live by the beach, and no blisters. Awesome!! J&M shoes have never let me down and I have been wearing J&M for over (30) years. Buy and enjoy!

Disappointing after loving the original

I have 4 pairs of knit and two wool Amherst original. I figured the the lugged would be a cushier iteration of that classic comfortable sneaker but I didn't it more cushioned and the fit was vastly different. The most irksome was the different collar and back of heel which rubbed and didn't properly secure my foot. These lasted less than 15 minutes before a return label was printed.

What I expected

Very pleased. The shoe is light and comfortable. The construction is consistent with J&M quality standards. I wear them more than originally intended.

Love the look, fit could be better

I do love the overall look of the shoe. The insole was way below J&M standards. I’ve had to purchase a much better insole. Once the replacement was made all is good. The sale price made buying a separate insole worth it.

So comfortable and hold up amazing

They look good, but that's all they have going for them

I love the look of these shoes, however they really aren't very comfortable in my opinion. The insole is quite thin, and the heel pad isn't tall enough to keep your foot in place, so it slips around quite a bit. Also, the top eyelets began to rip less than a month after I bought them. They look good, but that's all they have going for them.
