Spend the extra $ for the Copeland J&M Chukka
Not the same as the J&M Copeland Chukka. They look the same (except for the suede vs. leather of course) but they fit different and are not as comfortable. Even thought this is a great price, I would not buy again.
shoe strings??
I bought a pair of Donnelson plain toe chukka's The color is Navy, After wearing for a few months the shoe string is coming apart? The shoe strings are blue also. How do i go about finding or getting replacement shoestrings? Your site only sows purple and other colors. Im a fan of Johnston Murphy! I thought they would last longer than a few months. please help

Shoe Design review
First: J&M shoes are great. The service is great. The Customer Service is great. Shipping is great. Returns are so easy! This review is about THESE shoes. The price is great. The one issue I have is that the design of the shoe is different than the catalog makes it seem. I have other Chukka boots in all colors. Love them all. But this shoe is in the same space as their other Chukka boots , in different colors, but there is a difference. This boot only has 2 eyelets. This is a big difference in the fit and wearing. I probably should have looked closer, but I have 5 other pairs of Chukka boots and they all have 3 eyelets (or more), so I just assumed they were all the same. I had already worn them and only then did I realize the fit was different.

Stylish and comfortable
I liked comfort, style, and price of these chukkas so much I ended up with 3 pair in different colors. They have a crepe sole which makes them quiet and soft to walk on. The insole has a gel center which is nice. Finally, they have a soft sheepskin lining. I once ordered (and immediately returned) a pair from "the originator" of the chukka boot which cost more yet had no lining whatsoever. The 3 I have are nubuck or something similar and I don't think they would take well to getting wet. I apply a waterproofing spray to mine.

Comfortable and great looking shoes!
I was a bit concerned about buying shoes over the internet as I am never quite sure about size from one style or manufacturer to another but these fit me perfectly, are very comfortable and really great looking. lAlso the shipping was fast.

Not for him
My husband found this chukka boot to be too heavy, too stiff, and a size too large. He always wears an 8 1/2. This fit like a 9 1/2. Sad - because it is really is a nice looking boot.
