Love these shoes!

These are my third pair of Johnston & Murphy shoes and I am very satisfied with these as I have been with the others for several reasons: (1) perfect fit, (2) high quality leather and construction, (3) convenience, (4) style, (5) comfort, and (6) price. (1) Perfect Size – I wear a size 10.5M in most all dress shoes (besides Stacey Adams, where for my only pair of these I had to size down to a 10M). All three pair of J&M shoes in 10.5M fit perfectly. So I know when I buy this size online it will fit perfectly. I thought I might have to size down for these Upton Penny Loafers since they were slip-ons, but they fit perfectly. A 10M would have been too tight. So I’m 3 for 3 with fit so far with J&M. (2) High Quality – My first pair of J&M shoes were the Stratford Cap Toe Leather Boot (tan). I noticed right away that the quality of theses J&M shoes/boots were far above any shoes I had previously owned (mainly Rockports, Clarks, Nunn Bush, Dockers—in descending order IMO of quality). My second pair were the J&M Hawthorn Cap Toe, tan (basically the shoe version of the above Stratford boot), because I needed shoes that would pair up with tapered pants with no break at the shoes, which didn’t work with the boots. These penny loafers are very similar in color to the above pair with a bit more shine, which is fine for me, since that makes it look even more professional. The leather, the stitching, and the inside of the shoe are all top notch. The sole has a different material (thicker and better for walking outdoors) than my first two, but that’s what I wanted, so I could wear these on my daily commute (walking from the train station to the subway station and then to my office). I keep my other J&M dress shoes at the office and never wear them outside. (3) Convenience – I got these loafers so I could just slip them on (with a shoe horn) in the morning while standing up and not have to sit down and spend time lacing them. Once I get to the the office, I slip them off and change into my other dress shoes. At the end of the day, I just slip them back on and head toward the subway station. However, these loafers are such good quality, that I might go back to wearing my old brown slip on Clarks and just wear these loafers in the office. Just slipping these on and off with nothing but a shoe horn and no sitting down to lace (and then having the laces coming undone later) is a great convenience to me. I love that! (4) Style – As first I wasn’t sure about the stitching that is lighter than the leather, but as I wear them and look at them, I find the contrast appealing. It gives the shoe a bit of flair and shows that it’s sturdily constructed. These are the first penny loafers I have owned, and I just like the way they look: sharp, smart, and professional. (5) Comfort – These loafers are more comfortable and lighter than my other two J&M shoes/boots. Those other two pairs are comfortable, but being dressier, that are heavier. But for dressier occasions, I like that more substantial feeling of heft. But these loafers are very comfortable for walking. (6) Price – I bought these through the J&M website for more than 30% off, and for all the reasons I stated above, I feel this was a good deal. I just don’t see other shoes meeting all of my picky criteria as J&M shoes do. J&M is now my go-to shoe brand.

This is outsourcing at its best.

Never received. Spoke with rep from some other country and explained 1 of 2 shoes ordered never came. The 1 that never came was returned to shipper without reason. Reordered and they shipped the same shoe that did get delivered. Incompetent.
