Great styling for nearly any occasion, except tux.

This is my second pair of XC4 Prentiss. The other pair I have are solid brown. I am looking forward to these waterproof Prentiss for the wet Northwest US winter that has now started. The more you wear a Prentiss, the more comfortable it gets. Johnston & Murphy is truly living up the slogan of Not your father's show company."

Favorite shoe, great for travel

One of my favorite shoes, great for travel. I like that J&M includes two sets of laces as the black laces looks dressier and the striped looks sportier. I guess I like the shoes since I replaced my slightly older pair with this new model. I love that J&M has a wide size in this shoe as it is incredibly comfortable. Although the finished black leather looks dressy, it is a durable and waterproof shoe also.

Try These

This is my third pair of the black leather and I have bought about eight pairs of this and other colors, texture over the past eight years. Ther are very lightweight, fit well and are a nice compromise between semi-rdressy and sneakers. I pull out the liner on the 8. 5 to fit my width (D). The downside is that the white tips , soles and heels get dirty. I use Mr. Clean sponges and that works well. The one change over the years is that the pull-strap at the back is gone, but a shoehorn works much better. They still come with two sets of laces, one reflective and canual and one matching the black leather. Expensive but worth it.

Leather sneakers

I took the shoes out of the box and put them on. They fit perfectly and they are so comfortable. I haven’t had a shoe that is this comfortable right out of the box.
