The XC4 Lancer is extremely comfortable and stylish. I use these shoes for work and I am on my feet often walking around looking at projects. This is my second pair of these.

Poor Quality
I loved this shoe for the five or six times I wore it, but the black finish directly above the soles of the shoes flaked off to the point that they were unwearable.

Disappointed
Ordered these online as a gift. Shoes arrived with excessive scratches and scuffs all around. Haven’t been worn and the black part above the soles is already cracking and discoloring. I own other J&M dress shoes and I’m always pleased with their quality but this pair is disappointing.

Very Disappointed in quality
Not very happy. The black around the soles is already cracking and wearing off. Only worn for 2 weeks! I work in a carpeted office so no real wear and tear. I love the XC4 fit and feel, my last pair looked great for 2 years. Not sure what I can do at this point.

Flaw in the design of
Flaw in the design of the sole. Color either comes off on it own or any small rub causes the coloring to change. This shoe in brown is perfect fit and wear.

Almost a great shoe
Similar comments to many here. The upper sole is pretty good, they broke in very quickly and are pretty comfortable. The issue is with the sole, the black trim showed cracking and wear within a week and the bottom sole has worn very quickly, much quicker than a typical running shoe and with less use. Certainly does not have the quality and longevity that i would expect from that price point. If they can sort that out it would be a much better shoe.

Good quality, but not comfortable
I buy J&M shoes because of their comfort, quality and durability. This one has good quality and design, but unlike my other J&M shoes , feels narrow and uncomfortable at the toe area. I don't know how does this " Adjustable dual-width fit" work.
