A year on and already the catch of the kid has broken, not very good with a life span expectation of a bin. The cost obviously is not refelecrive of robust components, makes me think cheap parts expensive bin. Upset as othe goods no issues, are we just unlucky.

Best bin your money can buy
Well first of all, let me just say that I'm very satisfied with this product and I'm very pleased with customer support. We use this product for normal waste and recycling. I was tired of owning 2 bins for different purposes. One thing I normally don't use is the small basket but this is only because we are just 2 in our home and we don't prepare large meals or give big dinners. But I need to start using it although it will take some space on the counter. The larger and primary bin, for 2 people takes a lot to fill so you end up using only half of the capacity of the bags, because if you leave for 2 or 3 days, of course the smell will be noticed, especially when you open the lid. For that reason I don't use "official" bags, because they're very expensive, but "normal" 50L bags with large opening will do the work and I can get them on any local store nearby (I'm just being fully honest here, although I understand that Joseph Joseph would prefer I'd buy the "official" ones. Sorry ;) ). The recycling bin it's ok for at least 2/3 days, depending on the normal usage and consumption of plastic, glass, paper, etc. I have the inox one, so it's easy to clean, and we barely notice the fingerprints while pushing the button to open the top lid. It's strange to say this about a garbage bin, but it's very nice looking and I think it would look great in every kitchen. It's an expensive product, no doubt about it, but it's the best trash bin you will ever own.

Absolutely brilliant
This product, which we purchased about a year ago, solved all our recycling issues. No more boxes or containers of items/food, hanging around the kitchen, waiting to go out into the garden recycling boxes. It all goes in the bin. General waste in the bottom, recycling in the top and food waste in the bucket. It looks great and our friends and family are impressed. It's so easy to keep clean and the bin sections glide in and out effortlessly. It's very sturdy and although not cheap it is honestly worth every penny. One of the best household items we have ever purchased.

A big mistake
This bin is one of the worst Joseph Joseph designs ever. I have one and would never recommend to anyone. So far I have had to have both liners replaced as they have cracked, the lid replaced as it rusted, the compost caddy replaced as the handle fell off and the odour cover replaced as it fell off into the rubbish. What is worse, is the new compost caddy handle has fallen off and the new, large liner has also cracked.

It's a great size, easy to clean, and looks so neat. We bought the graphite grey and it looks amazing in our kitchen.

Would recommend anyone to buy this
I love this bin. It is neat and really doesn't take up any more room than my previous old fashioned 30ltre bin. Its really well made and the attention to detail is amazing, it has been so well thought through. I love the recycling draw it is deceptively large and keeps everything neat and tidy. Its so easy to wipe down and keep looking like new. The filter in the lid keeps 'funny smells' in the bin'. It is a bit expensive but I feel it has been worth the money.

Brilliant bin design
Absolutely love this product very stylish & love how I'm only using one bin !!! It's so much more organised & plenty big enough Instead of having 3 bins in my kitchen taking up a lot of room !!!
