Mismatch WIDTHS

The color is beautiful but I have to exchange them because the shoes widths are mismatched-- I ordered 9 1/2 medium width but Left foot is a MEDIUM WIDTH and right foot is a WIDE WIDTH. How can this happen?

Journee flat shoes with bows- Champagne color

The Journee shoes were a good fit as I upsized 1/2 size due to the pointed toes. The champagne color is beautiful as is the style with the bow. I like the flat heel and they feel comfortable as I'll need to walk in them all day.
