Nice looking but poor fit
I purchased these dress shoes online because I need dress shoes and they came in wide widths. Macys does not carry wide width shoes in the stores. (Why?) I bought my regular size (10W) as well as 11W, based on online size specs which indicated I’m closer to a 10.5W, but no dress shoes come in 10.5. The 10W was a bit too short (as expected), but oddly deep where my toes attach to my foot. Almost deep enough for an orthotic, except there wouldn’t be enough clearance at the top of my toes, because the shoes taper down in front. The heel, as noted by another reviewer, was very sharp and uncomfortable. The 11W arrived this evening. They swam on me: way too long, and too deep, but right width. Again, tapered down at toes, so barely cleared toenails. The heel was equally sharp - painful to just try on, much less walk in! These look nice, have a nice low heel, and come in wide. But this brand doesn’t appear to fit my feet. (Tried another Journee style that was ill-fitting too.) Returning.
Comfort, well made
Found a wide shoe design that fits well at the widest part of the foot. So many other designs cut in. This shoe fits comfortably around the foot as well as cushioned inside and sufficient toe box. True to size, giving wide shoe without slipping off the heel area. The heel gives a polished look and is easy to walk in. The shoes came carefully packaged including placement of each shoe in a protective bag. Hope to get more colors!
