A must have
I love this shampoo! I’ve been using it, as well as the conditioner, the deep conditioning mask, the scalp oil, the heat protection serum, and the shine drops regularly for three years, and my hair has never been better. I have much less breakage and hair loss during washes, than once upon a time. This hair care line is my secret hair weapon. The shampoo smells so good to me, kind of woodsy, not overpowering, would recommend!

Nothing like the original
Everything magical about the original formulation in the Purple bottle is lost except the name. JVN should have called this something else entirely. I’ll forever miss the wonderful fragrance (what was that?). The new smell is ok. Almost unscented, but I could live with that. With the Blue - my eyes tear, the residual is tough to rinse away, and if leaves my hair flat. It didn’t really seem like the Purple was a hydrating formula, so I can understand why the Blue leaves a residual if someone’s hair needs that much hydration. Is the Purple formula available in a different name and bottle color? PLEASE bring it back!

Tames the llama on my head
Moisturizes without weighing down my hair is incredibly thick and coarse, and there is a LOT of it, so that’s quite a feat.

BAD Scalp build up from one use
I was so excited to use this shampoo as it was recommended by an influencer as a "clean product" and loved it. I would like to say since using this Shampoo and Conditioner combo I have had EXTREME scalp build up. it's embarrassing and terrible!

A years long hunt has ended
Didn’t want to like this product cuz the price. First wash my hair felt like straw and I was not impressed. Plus I had to open the pump with pliers. It seemed all odds were stacked against JVN… but a wash or 2 later I am a convert. My hair has never looked so good. My hair isn’t curlier, but it looks less frizzy, more polished - just better texture. I could never effectively run heat tools thru my curly hair without a second set of hands so I just always air dry and now my hair looks good for events. I got the scalp oil, conditioner, shampoo and air dry cream. Would recommend all except the scalp oil which I’m indifferent to. I don’t have to use all three at once for my hair to look better than usual, but best used together. Better than my experiences with olaplex, nexus, kiehls etc etc. Thank you JVN for finally taming by curls, but darn you for all the future money you will be taking from me. Good news a little product goes a long way.
