Has not held up with gentle use

I bought this about in store about 2 months ago and have worn it maybe 3-4 times when I needed to look nice but casual; volunteer meetings, attending a talk, visiting and chatting with friends. Since I wore it for only a few hours each time, always over a light T shirt or tank, I hadn't even tried washing it yet. I was refolding it yesterday when I noticed the stiching had come loose under one arm. It fit me well; snug but not tight. It has not been snagged on anything or yanked on or off roughly, stored soiled or even worn during any kind of physical exertion. it just...disintegrated. I thought I had purchased a versitile sweater for a moderate price and expected it to last a few years rather than a few weeks. Yes, I can stich it up but am not sure there won't be further issues with it; yes, I'm sure I can return it easily-it's just that I've never encountered this kind of problem with quality from Macy's.

Basic black sweater with a little pizzazz

Nice sweater but, to be honest, it's probably out of style for today's fashion. I like the classic look though.

Beautiful Sweater

I bought this sweater for my daughter and it was perfect and looked beautiful on her. Good quality. Highly recommend.

not for me

Purchased in powder blue and while this was a pretty color, I wasn't sold on the look or feel of this sweater. Fabric was a bit stiff and fit wasn't very flattering. Also, the two clips in the front were a bit strange. Had to return.

Nice

Bought this in black and the gold hardware really looks lovely, wore gold hoop earrings to set it off. Made very well which is always important to me.
