What’s with the Weird Smell?

I usually love Karen Scott tops and this one is very pretty. It does, however, have an unpleasant chemical smell that I am unable to wash out. I have laundered it four times and the odd odor just won’t go away. I cannot even donate this because I am not going to inflict my misfortune on anyone.

Karen Scott tops

I have bought several of these Karen Scott tops over the years. I love the sleeve length and the boat-neck collar. But Karen Scott has lengthened the shirts and they are now way too long for my 5'2" height. They come too far below my stomach and the fabic is such that it doesn't just flow loosely. There was a time when I was buying every pattern available. Sad that they're too long for me now.

Runs 2 sizes 2 small.

This brand runs very small. I bought a 3X even though I wear a 2x. it was still too small. I see it was made in Malaysia, so not an American size 3X
