Could not buckle

The shoes are cute and I like the gold color that I chose. I have wide feet and bigger ankles and the elastic on the buckle did not go around my ankle. They need to add a little more length to the elastic on the buckle. I almost returned the shoes but I had an idea to get some more elastic added. The designer did not think of the ladies that have bigger legs and ankles.
