Beautiful coat buttons don't stay on

While trying on the coat in the store a button came off. I ordered a different color online and hoped it was just a fluke. But the first time wearing the coat the button came off. I brought the coat to the tailor to reinforce them and then a couple days later two buttons fell off. I really like how the coat looks but it's not really possible to wear the coat without buttons
