Beautiful but not comfortable for me

I'm a Kenneth Cole fan but for me, these chelsea boots missed the mark, or perhaps need a lot of breaking in. The leather and style are gorgeous, very high quality, BUT for my foot, the fit was off: While properly snug across the toes, it's overly generous around the ankle, and the stiff leather at the ankle resists the necessary buckling as you step. You need a sock higher than the boot because the top edging is a bit rough against the skin. Also, no arch support or cushioning. Despite a deep sole, the heel area feels hard. They are a gorgeous boot and a great price, just not comfortable enough for me.
