Holy grail for dry skin! (Even accutane users!!!)
Incredible product. It’s unmatched. My skin is very dry while on accutane and this overnight mask has changed the game. Aquaphor led to milia so I needed to find something to help support my skin in a similar way while mitigating additional milia. Enter this overnight mask. Even after the first use, overnight my skin is hydrated, less red, and healing. It has become a holy grail in my drawer and an essential product in maintaining my skin’s moisture barrier.

Why did you change the formula?
I’ve been a loyal user of this product for quite a while, and I have genuinely loved the results it used to provide. The original formula had a consistency and effectiveness that really made it stand out from anything else on the market, and I recommended it to many others because of how well it worked. However, with my most recent purchase, it feels like the formula may have changed. The texture seems different, and it doesn’t deliver quite the same results I had come to trust. If there has been a reformulation, I think your customers would really appreciate some transparency about it, because the previous version truly set a high standard. I really hope you’ll consider returning to the original formula or at least offering some clarity regarding any modifications. Customers like me stick around because of quality and consistency, and I would love to continue purchasing confidently without worrying that the product has been altered in a way that reduces its effectiveness. This brand has always seemed to care about its customers and reputation, and I hope that commitment continues moving forward. Saved my chronically dry skin
I live in dry Southern California. When I hit my early mid-40s, my face really dried out and became very sensitive. I tried so many products. Now I use a cream cleanser on the t-zone only, the Midnight Recovery serum and this mask every night. This mask made a huge difference! Better than any other dry skin moisturizer I tried. As other reviewers have said, it has a funny smell, but it’s not overwhelming. I don’t even notice it anymore and I’m very sensitive to scents. A little goes a long way and it does absorb in nicely. I use half of a dime sized amount on my whole face. Definitely recommend!

Get your act together, Kiehl's!
I’ve been a loyal Kiehl’s customer for years, and I’m genuinely disappointed in the recent changes to the Ultra Facial Overnight Rehydrating Mask with 10.5% Squalane. I used to rely on this mask to deliver deep hydration overnight. I would wake up with my skin feeling soft, nourished and plump. Unfortunately, the reformulated version just doesn’t perform the same way. It’s not just this product either. I’ve noticed Kiehl’s has changed multiple formulas across their range, and each “new” version seems to be a gigantic step down from the original. It’s almost as if they think long-time customers won’t notice the difference. But we do. The texture feels different, the results aren’t as noticeable, and that intense hydration I loved is gone. My skin doesn’t feel as replenished in the morning and, for the price, it’s not worth it anymore. I hope Kiehl’s reconsiders these changes. Many of us became loyal customers because the products worked, and the old formulas were part of our trusted routines. Sadly, I’ll be looking elsewhere until they bring back the quality we know they’re capable of.

Not the formula I remember
I bought one for me and one for my mom. It seems the formula changed. It's watery and it's irritating. That happened to me and the same to my mom. So it would have to be the cream. I used this cream in the past and worked fine. Now not so much.

Love the product inside the jar, the printing wore off shortly after purchase.
