Strong Chemical Smell Inside

This is a beautiful lunch bag, BUT it has a very strong chemical smell inside. I called Kipling's customer service department, and supervisor, Melissa, said that they do not know what material was used on the inside of the bag. PVC, for example, is thought to be more harmful then PEVA (you can research this online). I am returning the bag as I do not want to take a chance with putting my food inside of it. It may not be a safe material.
