Love it but ... where is the key clasp?

I am a long-time customer of cross-body Kipling purses. I especially love the key clasp that generally comes with a Kipling purse as I can always find my car keys quickly. So I was quite disappointed when my latest Kipling purchase had no key clasp! Despite it being one of the listed features. 

Since I got the purse at a great double discount price and I love the olive color and size, I worked a little magic and created my own key clasp by using the outer monkey clip, an extension, my own key clasp and keeping my keys tucked in one of the outer pockets (rather the inside as you normally would). However, I should not have had to "MacGyver" a solution. Feel a bit cheated. The key clasp has always been Kipling's best, unique feature.
