Not up to KitchenAid's usual quality.

I purchased this a year ago and it very gentle to what you are trying to process. I does not have enough speed to actually brake down food. Highly recommend not buying!

Neat and compact

Needed to replace my old food processor after many years of good use. I decided to buy the Kitchen Aid as I have the mixer which I am delighted with. I am just as happy with this kitchen processor as it is so easy to store, has a strong motor and powerful. It does everything I want it to do.

Plastic broke in less than a year

We’ve had our food processor for under a year and use it regularly. While it works great, the lid latch has now broken off completely and we have to hold down the lid to use the machine. Two tiny pieces of plastic hold the lid latch on to attach it to the main container and both pieces have snapped right off. Really disappointed. It’s within warranty but it was a gift so we do not have a receipt.

Even Better Than Anticipated

Given my old food processor (in a different brand) had cracks in the plastic around the blade, I decided to upgrade to a KitchenAid. I was tossing up between the 9 cup and the 13 cup, but what sold the 9 cup for me was the fact that all the parts fit inside the machine rather than a caddy. I also loved that the multipurpose blade has 4 blades rather than 2. Never having owned a KitchenAid product, I was so impressed by the quality feel of the plastic and all the attachments. When using the product, it is so quiet and gets the job done quickly. Overall, couldn't be happier with my new food processor and it inspired me to update my stand mixer with a KitchenAid a couple of weeks later.

Great versatility!

This 9 cup food processor is appropriate for my typical use & it doesn’t take up too much counter space! It’s easy to assemble with in bowl storage of discs & is very easy to clean. I’ve only used the chopping blades so far but the 2 speed plus pulse quickly made work of the task within the first week of purchase. I love that it’s relatively quiet & highly versatile which suits my needs.

Nice food processor - looks good on the counter!

I bought this a few weeks ago, and so far - so good. I really like how all the parts fit nicely into the main unit, which means it can sit on my countertop without any clutter. I've used most of the attachments - and they all seem to work find. Chops well, slices pretty good etc. I tried to use the dough blade this weekend and it couldn't handle the recipe (it was for 4 large pizzas) and I swapped to my kitchen aid mixer with dough hook instead. The colour is very nice - a slightly different cream to my mixer which I bought over 10 years ago. I am happy with my purchase.

Redesign is terrible

Poor design. I have been loyal to Kitchen Aid for decades and only replaced because I couldn't source a lid for the bowl of my previous food processor. The new narrow design and double blade makes it harder to use a spatula and the chopping is poor. I chop better by hand. The final straw was trying to make peach jam - something that I used my previous food processor many times to uniformly chop the peaches. I ended up with a mixture of half mush and half full sized slices. I have given up and am purchasing a Cuisinart. You should not have fixed what wasn't broken. I wish I could purchase my old processor again.
