I Like It!

I previously had a Krups coffeemaker for 10 years and loved it. I purchased this one though the reviews were sketchy to say the least. I really like it. I am the only coffee drinker in the house and I only drink two cups. This coffee maker produces a consistently great cup of coffee. If you are a person who drinks coffee all morning it will not stay hot as it is in an unheated carafe. The plus side is the coffee never tastes burned. I love that!

DONT BUY!!

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. What were they thinking from a design standpoint? It's impossible to pour the water in. Heating element is not that hot. Oh and it steams a lot from the top, so be careful with your cabinets or under lighting. I have had better experience's with Mr Coffe and Norelco.

low performance

I t might be funny after you have your coffee but the dribble cup design is not funny at all. We can't say strong enough how poorly this coffemaker is designed. You cannot pour water into the machine with out it spilling. I wonder if anyone tested it. I woud not reccommend it .Thank you macy's for this platform

Never buy

I bought this coffee maker 13 months ago and it wins the prize for the worst coffee maker I have ever bought. Like other reviews state it is difficult to add water prior to brewing without the water dripping down the side due to the top being in the way and not pivoting high enough to clear the top. The brewed coffee is not hot enough when done and it cools quickly and the carafe does not keep it hot. Mine steams like an old locomotive through the top when brewing which means you can't place it under a cabinet. The brewing process has to be done twice (or more) to obtain more than one cup of coffee when water is added initially for 4-6 cups. This item is destined for the dumpster, it's not worth the price paid.

Worst Coffee Maker Ever

We purchased this coffee maker after we got married. I had never owned a coffee maker before and my husband had a hotel sized coffee maker. Neither of us shopped around much, but we liked the look of this one and we thought Krups was a good brand. Boy were we wrong! We haven't even had it a year and the mechanism to tell how much water goes in the pot is broken (so now we have to use a measuring cup to know), it is IMPOSSIBLE to fill up with water regardless because of where the water reservoir is located and multiple times the coffee, for some unknown reason, has decided to not go into the pot when it is brewing and it has exploded all over the counter. At first I thought it might be user error, but it just happened now after being very careful in putting in the coffee/filter/etc and it still did it. And then it even kept pouring out after I removed the pot (it is supposed to work that you can remove the pot while it is brewing). This weekend I am putting this one in the dumpster and getting a new one. Would I recommended this product to a friend? Only if I removed the "r" and they were a fiend.

Looking for an awful machine?

Have always liked Krups products but this machine is awful!!! It only lasted about 10 months before it completely stopped working this morning. I'm actually upset with myself for ever buying it. I should have seen the design issues in the store. For example it is difficult to pour the water in and you really don't know how much went in and how much is on the counter. It has a level indicator that is in 2 cup increments. Don’t buy is machine!!!! Wish I could give it ZERO stars

Krups KT4065

Purchased this coffee maker in late Nov. 2010. Before Feb. 2011 is complete the coffee maker has stopped working. Will not come on at all. The clock and timers are still working but it will not brew. This was the exact same problem I had with my previous Krup maker. These makers brew tasty coffee but are way too expensive to only last a brief time. There is a flaw that I wish Krup would fix. I don't mind paying more for quality products but quality means that a product will last longer/work better/have better components than a cheap model.

Returning the coffee maker

I bought this to replace my 8 year old Krups thermal coffee maker which I've loved. My old one is simple and easy to use. This one is difficult to fill since the fill area is so small. Also, the indicators said I had 10 cups but when I ran water through the first time to clean the unit it spilled everywhere. Also, the thermal pot lid is delaminated where the coffee comes out (broken out of box) and when I had it locked, fluid still comes out of the spout. In short, I'm disappointed in this design, I'm returning it and staying with my older Krups until I can find a suitable replacement.
