Extreme eye irritation

I purchased the eye renewal set and used this product intermittently in my nightly routine and this product has caused very severe eye irritation- almost like a burn. I woke to my eyelids being heavily swollen, red and burning. Over the following 1-3 days the swelling would go away and the skin would turn rough/dry and show deep wrinkles as a result. I wondered if it was a combination of this product reacting to another product in my routine but have had similar results each time I tried desperately to make this product work for me. Unfortunately, its too late to return and I guess it was a waste of money.

Change in formula or no?

I have been using this for over 10 years and its the only caffeinated product that helps with fluid retention under the eye, isn't shiny, doesn't clog my pores or give me a rash. My jars usually last about 9 months. I have very sensitive under eye area. I am reading there may have been a change in formula within the last year from other reviews. Can La Mer please reply and let me know if this has occured? .

Had to return, so, so sadly to say.

I loved the original version of this cream, as in seriously loved it and coveted it like jewelry when I couldn't buy it for a while. Super, super disappointed when I could finally buy it again and found they had changed the formula. It burned my eyelids and I had to return it. It must have Vitamin C or something in it, but it's not the same cream I've loved since the 1990s.
