Favorite Goblet

I collect everything dragonfly, so I couldn't pass up this set of beautiful, sturdy, stemmed dragonfly water glasses by La Rochere. They are quite lovely glasses with raised dragonflies standing upright around the upper half of each glass. I embroidered a look-alike dragonfly on several dinner napkins to accent the glass and use when I have company for dinner. I get so many compliments on my place settings. Mealtime isn't ordinary anymore when I set out the dragonflies!

Dragonfly glasses are gorgeous but...

This "10oz." barely holds 8oz. With an ice cube you are getting a sip of water. So buy the carafe! One for each guest! lol! The 14oz. uncomfortably holds 10oz. They are small scale. But they are so pretty and well made that I don't care. They are heavy, should do well in the dw, and everyone in the family loves the way they look and feel in their hands. Perhaps the French aren't gluttons like Americans or they simply appreciate the art of consistently refilling their drinks. We will refine our drinking preferences and keep all the glassware.

Most appealing & eye catching

These water glasses will look terrific on a summer dining table either inside or outdoors... They complement any china pattern, placemats or flatware and especially when served with lime/lemon slices are a whimsical nature look that will get you compliments.
