Good fit

I bought this for my 10 y.o grandson. It fits good, the drawstring helps with the adjusting for the waist. Material and color as described. I bought a L,as he is 4’9” and 76 lbs.

Sizes wonky, quality diminishing

I've bought Lands End for my kids for years. My daughter is around a size 18 in jeans and shorts. I've been buying her XL in the past year and she's outgrowing that size. I recently bought her a couple pairs of these in the next size up... a natural transition.... But the next size up is absolutely gigantic. They could fit a medium sized man! I wear a six and my clothes still swim on my daughter, but these girl shorts in xxl are gigantic on me. They go about halfway down her calves and are huge around the waist. It's like the sizing between xl and xxl jumped at least 3 sizes around the waist and length. I don't know what's going on- the next size up should incremental and not be so huge. Have to return these shorts and also skorts (same problem). Also, quality is dropping off. Most t-shirts, skirts, shorts are getting thinner than they used to be years ago. They look more worn after a few washes. It's just not the quality of clothing it used to be. When I first started buying kids clothes from this company they easily going to be hand-me-downs... but no longer.

Kids pull on elastic waist shorts

These are the perfect school short. They fit true to size and wash well. We bought them in khaki and navy. Love the long pants as well!
