I purchased this for my husband for his birthday. Thick quality robe. Had it monogrammed, and is exactly what I was hoping for.

Bought 2 and Glad I Did
I got the Navy Blue in XXXL and it is big & heavy! I washed it once, to get rid of a faint "factory" smell. Washing a big, thick robe like this seems to have been hard on it..... but it's still OK. I'll just exercise great caution, anytime it's washed again. This robe is just what I wanted...not really criticizing it, just pointing out possible Hazards for others, who might wash theirs. P.S.: I just bought another one - a White one. It was On Sale. :)

bad color
I bought the navy robe washed it in cold water and after 2 washings pink spots appeared on the robe and more came with each washing, embarrassed to wear it

Did the quality of the product change?
I bought this for my husband. The piece of fabric to hang it up with just snapped right off less than two weeks after use. I have had my robe for I believe for 3 years now and never had this issue. Even without that happening, when I first felt the new robe it just didn’t feel like the same quality. I used to rave about how much I loved this robe now I wouldn’t go out of my way to recommend it. It’s not to say it’s not still a nice robe, IT IS! It’s just disappointing to think the company might not be putting in the same effort and quality as they once were

Soft, heavy and comfortable, but ...
Terry material snags easily. Strings all over already a month later. Very soft and comfortable but I'm not expecting it to last long. Loops are very large on both sides. The outside of robe should be a shorter, more dense tough weave like towels are.

Scratchy Sky Blue
Bought this last year and not that impressed with it. The Sky Blue color was scratchy and has never softened up despite repeated washings. What’s strange is that I bought another one — different size and color — and it’s very soft! Annoying that the fabric is so different among the various colors.

Not as nice as they used to be
I was debating between 3 and 4 stars. This is my 3rd lands end terry robe I’ve the past 25+ years and it just not up to the same quality as the other two. The terry seems a little lighter weight, and it shrunk a bit in the wash. Maybe a half size. It still fits, but as an example on my other two I have to roll up the cuffs on the sleeves, while on this one the sleeves would be too short, yet they were fine before washing.

I purchased this Robe earlier this month . Because of the amount of cotton weight 14/oz. Per square yard! This was exactly what I was looking for! And this Robe XL was Perfect fit and Great ! And Warm !
