These shorts do run large, for me anyway!
I haven't actually worn them yet, to know how they feel but they seem like they'll be nice and are of good Lands' End quality, with all the pockets I need! I'm returning the ones I bought for a smaller size (2P). My usual size 4P were large and baggy.

Substantial
I now have three pairs of this short and I'm pretty satisfied. The fabric is substantial and holds up well in washing. I think it's a little long in the crotch, but I concede that it's my body that's short in the crotch; wearable, nevertheless. I'm also happy that they have full pockets.

quality and length
These shorts are longer, which I prefer. The quality and fit are great. I like that I simply pull them on and I can wear any color shirt or top with them.

Best shorts every
I got the chambray last year when I wasn't sure what size I was. Just bought 2 more and getting white today. They stay up due to the elastic waist...lots of shorts stretch out and bag. Nice heavy cotton. If you wear a top on the outside, no one will ever know they have an elastic waist. Very slimming!

Strong, substanial fabric, no wrinkles
Strong, substantial fabric (might be a bit warm for some), roomy seat, waist is a bit snug, enough "belly room" in front for 39" hips, 142 lbs, 5'3. Washes great, no fade, no wrinkles, no ironing needed.

They have pockets!
The fabric is kind of stiff. I hope after a couple of washings they soften up.
