Misleading Fabric

I just washed my sheets for the first time before putting them on the bed. I am very unhappy with the fabric as it is slippery and full of static. I'm afraid I'll slip right out of bed!! Here is the definition of 'modal' (had I known, I would not have purchased these): Modal is a man-made cellulosic fiber similar to viscose rayon. It's considered a semi-synthetic material and is very cheap to produce.
