Super Cute but sizing is too general

I really liked these, they are super cute. But finding the right size was bit difficult since they only come in Small, Medium and Large. Those are a bit too general for nice shorts. I usually wear a size 8, sometimes a 6, so I ordered the Medium. They are a bit too big so I have ordered them in a Small (which I never wear). But I really like them so if the Small is too small I may keep the Medium and maybe l get them to shrink a bit.
