SO MANY POCKETS & SO WARM!

This is my second LE Expedition Parka - the first one I still have and use for dog walking and snow shoveling but needed a newer one for a trip to Iceland & Norway. LOVE THEM. I have long arms and always get the tall. The XL fits perfectly with room for a layered shirt and sweater and not feeling too tight. Love all the pockets - often did not carry bag bc pockets hold so much! Hood is adjustable and can be configured to be warm and still have visibility. Like others I am not in love with the patch but everyone has a logo somewhere so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I can live with it. IT is warm, but definitely heavy. So for smaller people I can see that as a problem. I'm 5'8, 155# bought the XL tall and LOVE IT.

Tight cuffs

This coat is warm The only issue I have w it are the cuffs. They are tight and therefore make it difficult to take the coat off.

Oversized

Beautiful, functional parka. Unlike others who have commented that it isn’t warm enough for outdoor activities, I appreciate that I can just wear a single light layer underneath and not overheat while running errands. However, it is extremely big and bulky. I am 5’4” 130lbs and the Petite XS fits like a medium everywhere but sleeve length. I normally wear a petite small in the ribbed long sleeve crew neck LE shirts for reference. So I have to cinch the waist to within an inch of its life to combat the oversized fit, the extra foot of elastic pools in front of my body and drives me nuts. Just wish it was true to size for people who don’t like to wear six layers underneath winter jackets. I actually considered returning it for the kids-sized version but that jacket got pretty horrible reviews and it doesn’t obviously come in colors adult women would normally wear. Am keeping it because I only paid half price and finding a petite jacket for a grown woman is nearly impossible.

Finally. . . a Petite size! . . And It's Perfect!

This is the perfect jacket - everything that I was looking for. I'm going to Iceland and I wanted a jacket that was warm, waterproof, and windproof. I went to REI, Patagonia, and North Face. They had what I was looking for, but they were so long (I'm 5'0" tall . . . or, more accurately 5'0" short" LOL). It looked like I was wearing a sleeping bag. I saw that Land's End had all the features that I wanted AND in petite sizes. I was going to get a size medium so I could layer, but the size guide recommended I get a Petite small. I was a little worried, but when I tried it on with a baggy sweatshirt it fit perfect (for reference, I'm 120 lbs. and have broad shoulders). Also, I read the complaints of previous posts - not being able to remove the fur or hood (you can remove both), the emblem on the sleeve (which I wouldn't have minded, but it's gone), not being able to cinch the hood (there are pull chords inside), that it's too heavy (Umm . . . I've had heavier pea coats), etc. It seems Land's End listened and made all of those changes. Thank you! Buy it. You will not regret it.

This baby is amazing

I bought this because Ohio has dropped intemps for almost 2 months. I walk a handful of blocks to work in a city with traffic whizzing by in 8 degree weather. The only thing that was cold was my calves..lol! I also wear a bulky fleece as a work wear. I was on the cusp of 2 sizes and wind up having to go a size up for this reason. It is roomy, just not when you have layers on. But that side the worst thing about this coat. Zipper and snaps and pockets galore! Best money I have spent..well besides my 4 other Lands End coats.

Plenty warm, fits well!

Tested this jacket with a walk in -17°F and standing on a frozen lake for hours in +17°F. I was sufficiently comfortable in both instances, and didn’t even layer a whole lot for either! I’m 5’0”, 140lbs, and got a petite small. It fits well over a sweatshirt, but would be a bit tight with more

Not A Warm Coat

It's a nice looking coat that fits well. It is not as warm as previous down coats that I've had. I'm in Michigan and freezing in my pretty coat. As soon as I step outside I feel cold on my back and arms through the coat like it's a windbreaker.

Not what I was expecting for what I paid.

I bought this 4 weeks ago. It fit so nicely but doesn’t keep you warm. I was so disappointed. I have to ware a few layers of clothing underneath to keep warm. The wind goes right through the coat.
