Good walking coat

Practical coat for windy Midwest spring & fall with a nice length for walking. I’m a solid Extra Large & this XL coat has plenty of room in the body & sleeves for a sweater underneath…but it looked frumpy on me. I purchased the Large instead and it looks better & more fitted, but nothing more than one top can go underneath. LANDS END: I love the practicality of your coats, but honestly most are on the boring side…so I was glad to see the shoulder emblem and reflector stripe on the arms added! However, both the Large & ExLarge Navy Womens Squall Hooded Waterproof Raincoat have the stripe hidden because it runs up the inside of my arm instead of the back or outside like it should (looks like a mistake). I'm keeping the Large anyway.

Fit, style and protection

Loved this jacket the moment I took it from the box. The fabric is substantial, and the lining on top makes it good to use from Spring through Fall. Nicely cut, just the right length, and roomy enough to wear with a heavy sweater in cooler weather.

Second thoughts

Features and fit are good. However, the fabric is stiff and appears wrinkled, even after washing and drying on low, and continues to make rustling noises while wearing. Had I known this I probably would have returned it.

Not warm enough

Very nice raincoat. Had to return though because the temperature rating seemed off. No way it would have kept warm in freezing temperatures.

One issue with a Great Coat

I love my Cherry Red raincoat. However, please take another look at the relationship between sleeve length and torso circumfrence. The body fits WELL, but I had to turn the sleeves up 4 inches. My arms are somewhat short but not THAT short. Usually only 1 to 1/12 inches is the discrepancy in Lands End garments.

Great coat

I recently both this coat and I am very pleased. The quality of the fabric and the workmanship was very good. The sizing was accurate. It was exactly what I needed.

Land's End squall parka runs very large

I regret this purchase. This jacket is huge on me, and I can't return it to Macy's I have to contact the vendor, Land's End who are not responding.

Classy, Smart and so well made! Beautifully crafted seams and attention to detail. I cannot wait to wear it (rain or shine)
