Hoping for thicker

I'm a little disappointed the flannel isn't thicker. I expected a midweight, but feels lightweight. Bought them for my 93 yr old Mom who is always cold, thought a nice flannel would help. I'm keeping them for summer use, but will continue to search elsewhere for a thicker, warmer set. I don't want to return in store due to Covid, not worth the risk. The pattern is very pretty, cream background, and the roses were a hit with my Mom. Has a vintage look in my opinion.
