Musty and Moldy
We liked the size (5x8) and color of the rug. However, when we unwrapped it, it smelled musty and moldy. REALLY bad. Like it had been in a damp warehouse. We went online to try to figure out how to get rid of the smell. We put the rug down, used a dehumidifier and two fans for 2 weeks. We used baking soda and then vacuumed a day later hoping that the baking soda would absorb the smell, like people suggested online. It's been two weeks, and we just cannot take the smell anymore. And I know it's very unhealthy. I called yesterday to make sure that Macy's would send someone to pick it up. It's not a normal return. I was not going to roll it up and bring it to a UPS store. The customer service rep was great. They are sending me a sleeve to put the rug in and will arrange for pick up of the rug. I'm disappointed and am afraid to re-order the rug for fear that the next one will be just as bad.
